About

Andrea Uhl is an artist and educator. Her passion for art and education, especially through concept-based inquiry, bring a unique lens for translating ideas into powerful illustrations.

She studied at the University of Texas in Austin where she particularly enjoyed creating short animations as part of her degree. She then went on to work at Walt Disney World, Orlando as a Youth Programs Facilitator - developing and delivering hands-on learning experiences to children grades K-12.

With a desire to travel and experience more of the world, Andrea and her little jumpy dog, Bean, relocated to Wiesbaden, Germany, where she works for the Frankfurt International School, an IB PYP school. She has over 15 years of elementary classroom teaching experience and is now an Erikson and Lanning Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Certified Trainer.

She continues to live in Germany with her husband and young daughter and connects with educators from around the globe to bring clarity and life to ideas, planning, and learning through her graphics.
